This month we begin a new series focused on protein
requirements for our horses, and the various feeds which provide
protein. Protein is commonly the first concern of many horsemen
when selecting their feeds, and the most frequently discussed. In
the equine industry, there tends to be a common fallacy that if a
product costs more, it clearly is a more desirable product to feed.

LOSING BOSTON BUT SAVING SARAH
We lost a good one yesterday.
Part of the price of having wonderful animals in your life is the pain that comes with saying goodbye to them. We had to put Boston, our 28 year old Quarter Horse, down.
He had a fast spreading neurological condition that affected his spine, which in turn affected his ability to walk or keep his balance.
And even though I believe it was right the thing to do, it is never an easy thing to do.

fourth year in a row by the American Institute of Baking (AIB), increasing its

And the Winners are…
 We are very pleased to announce the winners of the Omega Fields' Shine On! Video Contest and want to thank everyone who submitted their stories. We are humbled by the accolades given our fine products.
Taking home the Grand Prize is Brooke Pape for her video “Omega Fields®, Omega Horseshine®, True Potential EPSM”. Brooke produced a wonderful and inspiring piece about her horse Punchinello, who struggled with Equine Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy, and won with the help of Omega Horseshine®.
“Yeah!!! I'm so excited!!!” exclaimed Brooke upon learning of the contest results. “You know, I'm just so proud of my horse, Punchinello. Omega Horseshine is one product I know I can trust to feed this EPSM horse. His coat is gleaming, his muscle tone is blossoming and he eats it up like it's candy.
